Our opinion
ToggleedX offers a great variety of high-quality courses, which can help you advance your career in almost every industry. We particularly like that a lot of their regular courses are offered for free, and you only have to pay for the certificate (which is optional). The rest of their offering on the other hand is usually a bit pricier, but the quality of the learning materials is still really high. In our eyes, edX is a great learning platform, especially well suited for students looking to take on full online degrees, as well as students looking for digital certifications from well-trusted organizations and institutions, if price isn't their biggest concern. If you're on a budget, you can still take advantage of their large catalog of free courses.
With their clear focus on junior to mid-level developers, egghead fills a small niche in the online tech education space. We like that they have courses on rather niche topics, that you might not find elsewhere. Additionally, the courses regularly feature popular faces from the web development industry, which makes for more engaging content and ensures instructors are knowledgeable about the topics they teach. Overall, we can recommend egghead for junior web developers that want to delve a bit deeper into the ecosystem and learn new frameworks and tools.
